About this design
This is the most requested engagement ring combination there is, and for a straightforward reason: a round brilliant returns more light than any other cut, and a pavé band keeps that light running down the finger rather than stopping dead at the setting. A single row of small round diamonds is shared-prong set along the shoulders and sides so the band reads as a continuous line of sparkle. Four claw prongs hold the centre stone high enough to catch light from every angle.

It depends what you want. A pavé band adds visible width and sparkle for a fraction of what the same money would add to the centre stone. If overall presence on the hand is the goal, the pavé is the more efficient buy.
It will. The pavé sits on the outer face rather than the edges, so a flat band still meets the shank cleanly. Many people pair this with a matching pavé band so the two read as one piece.

Only sensible care. Shared-prong pavé is the more secure setting style, and an annual check keeps it that way. Avoid catching the band on rough surfaces and clean it weekly with a soft brush.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
