Medallion Pendants, in detail

  1. A disc is a canvas

    The medallion is the most engravable shape in jewellery — a name, a date, coordinates or an initial all sit naturally on a circle. Most of these are bought to be personalised.

  2. Size reads as confidence

    A small disc layers under other chains. A large one is the piece everything else is chosen around. There is very little middle ground with this shape.

  3. Weight sits low

    A solid disc hangs heavier than an openwork pendant of the same diameter, so a chain that suits it needs to be gauged for the weight rather than chosen for looks.
