About this design
A pear is a directional stone, and a plain band is what lets that direction read clearly. Worn with the point up the finger, it lengthens and slims the whole hand the moment it goes on — an effect that gets muddied the second you add texture or side stones to the shank. Here there is nothing but a slim polished band and four claw prongs, one of them shaped low over the tip to protect the most delicate part of the cut.

Two reasons at once. A pear spreads wider than a round of the same weight so it looks bigger, and its tapering outline visibly lengthens the finger. You get more presence and a more flattering hand for the same spend.
Most people wear it pointing toward the fingernail, because that is the direction that lengthens the hand. Turning it toward the wrist is entirely a personal preference and the ring works either way.
The tip is the most delicate part of any pear, which is exactly why a prong is shaped directly over it here. Protected that way, and away from hard knocks, it handles daily wear without trouble.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
