About this design
Four marquise accents lie against the sides of the marquise centre stone like petals, and beyond them the shoulders break into openwork links with round diamonds set where the links meet. Light passes through the gaps in the linkwork, so the shoulders look far lighter than their width suggests. The centre stone is claw set at both points and stands slightly above the petal accents.

They are formed as one piece with the shank rather than joined, so nothing can work loose between them.
The four marquise accents extend its outline outwards, so the head reads considerably longer and wider than the centre stone on its own.
It is easier than a solid setting. The gaps are open front to back, so warm water flushes straight through instead of pooling.
The linked shoulders drop to the shank at an angle, so a straight band leaves a small gap. A shaped band follows the line more closely.
It covers a fair length of the finger, though the openwork keeps it from feeling heavy, and the profile stays low against the hand.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
