The piece
About this design
A heart above a growing vine is about as direct as jewellery symbolism gets, and it is kept honest here by how quietly it is made. The stone is held by a V-prong at the point and slim claws on the lobes, cleft left open so the outline stays clear. The band beneath carries a trailing vine cut in relief with tiny round diamonds bezel-set into it at intervals, milgrain along both edges, all on a slim 2.00mm shank. Nothing is oversized, which is what stops it reading as a novelty. Inside, the band is smooth, polished and stamped with the Driona D.

Look at the symmetry. The two lobes should match each other, the cleft should be sharp and distinct, and the outline should mirror down the centre. A lopsided heart is obvious at arm's length and no setting hides it.
It is the thing keeping it from being too sweet. The vine is antique ornament, cut low and set with 1.00mm stones — it gives the ring the seriousness of an old piece, so the heart reads as romantic rather than as a gift-shop shape.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.
