About this design
Four slim claws and almost nothing else. The stone is lifted clear on a fine collet rim so light gets in from the sides and the back as well as the top, which is what makes a claw-set round look brighter than the same stone set any other way. From the front you see diamond and four small points of gold; from the side you see how little metal is actually holding it.

These are rounded off and set low against the stone rather than standing tall, so in practice it is rare. If you live in fine knitwear and want to think about it even less, the bezel version of this pendant has no claws at all.
Because there is barely any metal in the way. A diamond returns light that enters from all directions, and a bezel necessarily blocks the sides. Four claws leave the girdle open, so more light gets in and more comes back out. It is a real difference, not a marketing one.
No. This is the pendant on its own. The chain you see in the photographs is there to show how the piece hangs and is not part of the order. Most people already have a chain they like, and the bail is made to take an ordinary cable or box chain, so you can simply thread it onto that. If you would rather buy one with it, message us before you order and we will sort it out.
Use the size options on this page as the guide — the comparison photograph shows every size we make side by side, and there are shots of each one worn on the neck, so you can see what actually sits where. A round brilliant is the cut that turns weight into sparkle most efficiently, so even the smaller options hold their own. The price updates as you change the option, so you can find the point where the look and the budget meet.
A lab grown diamond is chemically a diamond — same hardness, same look — and ours come EF color, VS clarity, with an IGI certificate. Moissanite is a different stone that is nearly as hard and throws noticeably more rainbow fire. It costs a good deal less. Neither is a fake; they are two different stones, and the price difference shows on the page as you switch.

A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat ships with its own IGI report. Accent stones and moissanite are not certified.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
