About this design
Four claws hold an oval upright, two on the shoulders and two at the ends, and the rest is left open. Ovals already look larger than their weight because so much of the stone is spread across the top; leaving the edges bare rather than rimming them pushes that further. The long axis hangs vertically and lengthens the line of the neck.

The claws sit over the girdle at the ends and on the shoulders, so the stone is held at four points and the rest of the edge is open. An oval has no sharp point to protect, which is why it takes a claw setting comfortably.
Claw set shows more stone, because nothing covers the edge. Bezel set adds a gold rim, which makes the whole pendant a little wider even though the diamond inside it is identical. Whether that reads as bigger depends on what you are looking at — the stone, or the piece.
No. This is the pendant on its own. The chain you see in the photographs is there to show how the piece hangs and is not part of the order. Most people already have a chain they like, and the bail is made to take an ordinary cable or box chain, so you can simply thread it onto that. If you would rather buy one with it, message us before you order and we will sort it out.

Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft toothbrush once a month. What dulls a pendant is skin oil and body lotion settling under the stone, not scratches. Take it off before swimming in chlorine, and put it on last when you are getting ready, after perfume and hairspray.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
