About this design
Four claws seated on the cut corners, which is exactly where an emerald cut wants to be held — those corners are already bevelled, so a claw sits into the flat rather than gripping a sharp edge. The long step facets are left completely open, and because this cut works by reflecting in broad sheets rather than sparkling, keeping metal off the sides matters more here than it would on a brilliant.

An emerald cut has its corners cut off at an angle, leaving a small flat facet at each one that a claw can seat into securely. Gripping the long flat sides instead would be far less stable and would break up the clean line of the stone.
Very — they are flat, they sit close, and the step facets do not throw the restless sparkle some people find too much for daytime. They read as quiet and expensive rather than showy.
The pair. Every size option on this page is the total carat weight of both earrings together, which is how studs are normally sold, so each ear wears half of it. The size-comparison photograph labels the weight of a SINGLE stone, because that is what decides how big one earring looks on your ear. Pick from the dropdown and the photograph will show you the stone you are getting, at half the number.
Threaded posts with screw-on backs, not push backs. The back winds onto the post rather than gripping it by friction, so it cannot be nudged loose by a scarf or a pillow. They take a few seconds longer to put on, which is the trade every jeweller makes for stones you would be sorry to lose.
Yellow gold warms a white diamond and reads richer against most skin. White gold and platinum disappear against the stone so the diamond does the work. Rose gold sits between the two. Silver gives the same look for far less. All of them are solid metal throughout, never plated, so nothing wears back to a different colour.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
