The piece
About this design
A pear points up the finger and lengthens the hand; pavé shoulders take that line and run with it. The two work together — the taper of the stone flows straight into a row of small round diamonds set along both sides of the band, so there is no visual break anywhere along the top of the ring. Four claw prongs hold the pear, with one shaped low over the tip to protect the most delicate part of the cut. The underside of the band stays plain.

Because the pear already draws the eye along the finger, and the pavé continues that movement instead of stopping it. It is the pairing that makes the hand look longest of anything in this range.
Most people wear it toward the fingernail, since that is the direction that lengthens the hand. Turning it toward the wrist is a personal preference and equally correct.
The tip is the most delicate part of any pear, which is exactly why a prong is shaped directly over it here. Protected that way, and kept away from hard knocks, it handles daily wear without trouble.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
