The piece
About this design
Round diamonds of four different sizes are grouped into two clustered peaks either side of a single raised middle stone, so the top of the band steps up and down like a low crown. The stones are claw set at slightly different heights, which is what stops the cluster from flattening into a plain pave row when you look at it side on. The band itself curves down between the peaks, so it still tucks under an engagement ring.

The middle stone is the tallest point at around 1.90 mm above the band, with the cluster stones stepping down from it. It is a low profile for a cluster design.
The claws are rounded and short. The stepped outline is more likely to be noticed than felt, though very fine knits are worth avoiding.
The band dips between the two clusters, so it fits under most low set centre stones. The clusters themselves sit either side of the setting.
They are symmetrical about the middle stone, so the ring looks the same either way up. Most people wear the peaks towards the knuckle.
Soak in warm soapy water for a few minutes, then work a soft brush from the back of the band outward so dust is pushed away from the claws.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
