The piece
About this design
Marquise diamonds in three different sizes are set at changing angles across the top of the band, with small rounds dropped into the spaces between their points, so nothing lines up in a row. That deliberate irregularity is what gives the piece its scattered, petal-like look — it reads as growth rather than as a pattern. The band tapers away from the cluster to a plain shank, which keeps all the interest at the front.

It is designed. The angles and sizes are fixed so every ring comes out the same, but they are chosen so no two neighbouring stones align.
The claws are short and the stones sit low, but marquise points at varied angles mean it is worth taking care with loose knits.
It suits sitting beside one rather than tucked under it, since the cluster stands slightly proud. Many people wear it as the ring on its own hand.
The cluster is not symmetrical, so it does have a front. We set it so the largest marquise sits towards the knuckle.
Soak first, then use a soft brush from several directions rather than one. The gaps between the marquise points are where dust settles.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
