The piece
About this design
The band does not run straight — it rises and falls in a slow wave on both sides of the centre stone, and pear cut accent diamonds are set into the crests lying east to west, with small round diamonds bezelled into the troughs between them. Laid flat on the hand it looks like a line of light moving rather than a row of stones. The cushion cut sits low in four claws so the whole thing stays close to the finger.

No. They sit down inside the metal of the wave rather than standing proud of it, and every prong holding them is filed flush. It is a lower-profile ring than most accent bands.
It suits one particularly well. The wave carries light out across the finger on both sides, so a modest centre stone looks like the top of a much wider design rather than a small stone on a plain band.
Yes — the pattern mirrors exactly either side of the centre, so the ring looks correct however it rotates on your finger through the day.
Pear cut diamonds, 2.50 x 1.30mm each, laid on their sides along the crests of the wave so their points follow the curve. Setting them east to west rather than upright is what makes the band look like a moving line instead of a row of stones.
It is a softened square with rounded corners and larger facets, so it throws broader, warmer flashes rather than the fine scatter of a round brilliant. It also carries its weight across a wider face, which means it looks bigger on the finger than a round of the same weight.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
