About this design
A square cushion is a compact, balanced stone, and pavé shoulders are what give it width on the finger. Without them a square outline can sit rather quietly; with a row of small round diamonds running away on both sides, the whole top of the ring reads considerably broader. The stones are shared-prong set so almost no metal interrupts them, the centre stone sits in four claw prongs over an open basket, and the underside of the band is left completely plain.

More than it helps most shapes. A square outline is compact by nature, so the row of small diamonds running away on either side adds visible width across the finger that the stone alone would not give you.
A standard cushion is slightly longer than it is wide; this one has equal sides. If you like the soft vintage warmth of a cushion but want a cleaner, more geometric outline, this is the version to choose.
Yes. The shank is straight and the pavé sits on the outer face rather than the edges, so a flat band meets it cleanly. A matching pavé band alongside makes the pair read as a single wider piece.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
