About this design
The round brilliant is the shape that never dates, and there is a reason it outsells every other cut: nothing returns light like it. Set here in four slim claw prongs that leave the stone almost fully exposed, it catches every angle as the hand moves. What lifts it above the usual plain solitaire is the band — narrow, ribbed with fine parallel fluting on the outside, polished smooth where it sits against the finger. Classic stone, detail you will not find on the high street.

If maximum sparkle is what you want, yes. The round is the only cut engineered purely for light return, which is why it outshines every other shape at the same proportions. It is also the safest choice if you are buying as a surprise.
Four prongs cover less of the stone, so more diamond is on show and more light reaches it. Six prongs grip marginally tighter but hide more of what you paid for. For a solitaire this size, four is the better trade.
No. The fluting is cut into the outer face only. The inside is polished flat and smooth, so it feels like an ordinary band on the finger while looking like anything but.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.
