What actually matters
Fit is the whole thing
A bracelet should move but never spin. Measure the wrist and allow roughly half an inch for a comfortable drape — a tennis line needs less slack than a bangle.
The clasp is the weak point
This is the piece most often lost. A box clasp with a figure-eight safety, or a double catch on a tennis line, is worth the small extra cost.
Built for a joint that moves
The wrist knocks against desks and doorframes all day. Bezel and channel settings on a well articulated link survive that far better than exposed prongs.
