About this design
A radiant is the compromise shape most people are actually looking for: the clean rectangular outline of an emerald cut, but faceted underneath like a brilliant so it throws fire instead of quiet flashes. Its four cropped corners are held by slim claws, which is the setting that suits it — no bulky prongs crowding the straight edges. The band beneath carries a continuous acanthus scroll cut in relief with milgrain along both edges, so the sharp geometry of the stone sits against something soft and antique. Inside the band is smooth, polished and stamped with the Driona D.

An emerald cut has long step facets and gives broad, mirror-like flashes. A cushion is rounded at the corners and soft all over. A radiant keeps the emerald's straight edges and cropped corners but is brilliant-faceted underneath, so it sparkles like a round while still looking architectural.
Better than most shapes — the brilliant faceting breaks light up and disguises small imperfections that a step cut would put on display. With EF colour and VS clarity as standard here, that is margin on top of a stone that is already clean to the eye.
It is the pairing that defines Art Deco jewellery: hard, straight-edged stones set against fine hand-worked metal. The scroll softens the outline of the radiant just enough to stop the ring looking severe.
The radiant is a twentieth-century cut, so strictly speaking yes — and it is a combination people love precisely because it is not a museum copy. You get antique goldwork with the sparkle of a modern brilliant-cut stone.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
