The piece
About this design
A pear tapers to a point, and a vine is the one band pattern that tapers with it — a trailing stem and leaves cut in relief around the full circle, with tiny round diamonds bezel-set into the growth at intervals. The stone's point is capped with a V-prong and its rounded end held by slim claws. The shank stays at 2.00mm, deliberately narrow, because a pear needs the band to stay out of its way if it is going to keep looking long. Inside, it is smooth, polished and stamped with the Driona D.

Yes, by a V-prong that wraps the tip in metal on three sides. A bare point on a pear is the single most common cause of chips, and we do not offer one.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.
