About this design
A pear is a tall stone with a distinctive silhouette, so the side view matters more here than on almost any other shape — and the side view is where the hidden halo lives. A row of small round diamonds follows the outline of the basket beneath the stone, tapering with it toward the point. From above the ring is still a clean pear solitaire on a plain band, pointing up the finger and lengthening the hand. From any other angle it sparkles underneath.

It does. The halo is set around the basket, which is built to the outline of the stone, so it tapers toward the point rather than sitting as a circle. That is part of why it looks made for the ring rather than added to it.
It does not, because the row follows the outline right into the tip instead of stopping short of it. A halo that stops early is what makes a pear look cut off, and it is the most common way this setting is done badly.
No, because the V-prong over the point stands proud of the stone and takes any contact first. The concealed row underneath does not raise the tip at all.
It follows the full outline including the point, which is the difficult part to make and the reason the setting looks finished from every angle. The point itself still sits under a protective V-prong above.
Because on a pear, visible accents fight the outline. The shape is the whole reason to buy the stone, and anything set beside it blurs the taper. Putting the extra diamonds underneath gives you the light without touching the silhouette.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.
