The piece
About this design
A pear needs a band with some substance behind it or the stone looks like it is about to tip forward. This one has it: 2.80mm across, with the pattern pierced clean through so the extra width never reads as heavy. Round diamonds are bezel-set into the solid points of the design and milgrain runs along both edges. The stone's point is capped with a V-prong, the rounded end held by slim claws, so the outline stays sharp where you look at it and protected where it is weakest. Inside, the shank is smooth, polished and stamped with the Driona D.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.
