The piece
About this design
The vine is what makes this work under an oval. A trailing stem with leaves cut in relief runs the full circle of the band, and tiny round diamonds sit bezel-set into it at intervals, so the line of the band echoes the long line of the stone above it rather than cutting across it. At 2.00mm the band stays slim, which is what you want beneath an oval — nothing competing with a shape that already looks larger than its weight. Four slim claws hold the stone lengthways. Inside, the band is smooth, polished and stamped with the Driona D.

It looks bigger than it weighs and it flatters the hand. The weight is spread over a longer face-up surface, so more of the stone is visible, and set lengthways it lengthens the finger.
No — they are 1.00mm each and set flush into the vine, so they read as sparkle in the metal rather than as stones in their own right. The oval is unmistakably still the subject of the ring.
That dark band across a poorly proportioned oval comes from the mount blocking light underneath. We cut for even proportions and use slim claws instead of heavy prongs, so the stone stays bright from tip to tip.
They spread light out along the finger, so the ring occupies more visual space. The oval itself is unchanged, but it stops reading as a small stone sitting alone on a bare band.
A soft toothbrush, warm water and a little washing-up liquid is all it needs. Bezel-set stones have no prongs to catch a bristle on, which makes this one of the easier settings to keep bright.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
