The piece
About this design
The band is cut into a run of scallops — pointed openings outlined in milgrain beading, alternating with small round diamonds set flush in rubover collars — and it dips into a shallow V where the marquise sits. That dip is deliberate: it lets the long point of the stone sit down into the band instead of floating above it, which is what makes a marquise look elongated rather than perched. Antique in feel, and light on the finger at three grams.

Questions about this piece
The things customers ask us most about this exact design.
They are the one part worth protecting, which is why both ends sit under V-prongs — a metal cap shaped to the point rather than a claw resting near it. Set that way a marquise is no more vulnerable than any other cut.
It catches light at a different angle to the polished metal, so the outline of every scallop stays visible instead of disappearing into a gold blur. It is also the single detail that most reliably reads as antique.
Slightly more surface than a plain band, but the openings are cut right through, so warm water and a soft brush clears them in seconds — easier than a solid band with engraving cut into it.
Longer than its weight suggests. A marquise is the most elongated of all the brilliant cuts, and because this band dips into a V beneath it, the stone sits down into the metal and reads as one continuous line up the finger. It is the cut to choose if you want to lengthen the hand.
It does — three grams, which is among the lightest here. The scallops are cut right through, so you get the presence of a decorated band without the weight of a solid one. People who have never worn a ring daily tend to get on with this very quickly.
Every piece is made to order in our own workshop — solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold, 925 sterling silver or platinum, never plated — and set with IGI certified lab grown diamonds. Because we sell directly with no middlemen, you get true fine-jewelry quality at a fair price, backed by free worldwide shipping and easy 30-day returns.

Proof, not promises
Everything here can be checked
Anyone can call a diamond certified. What matters is whether you can go and confirm it somewhere that is not us — so every claim below is one you can test yourself.
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat ships with its own IGI report. Accent stones and moissanite are not certified.

01
The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.
-
02
Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.

Solid metal, all the way through
10K, 14K or 18K gold, 925 sterling silver or platinum — solid, never plated over brass. Plating wears through in months and takes the colour with it. Weigh it, test it, or send it to a jeweller.

Cut, set and finished at our own bench
Every ring is made to order at our own bench, not bought in finished and relabelled. That is why we can move a stone, change a shank profile or cut a size we do not list — a reseller could not.

In their words
What customers say
Unedited, and left by people who actually paid for the piece.
No one has reviewed this exact piece yet
It is made to order, so it is new to the catalogue. Rather than fill this space with reviews written about other pieces, we have left it honest — the photographs on this page were all sent in by customers, and our reviews page has what buyers have said about Driona itself.
-
Verified purchases
Requests go out to the order after it ships, so a review means someone was actually sent the piece.
-
The bad ones stay up
We do not delete low ratings. If something went wrong you should be able to read about it here before you order.

Photos welcome
