About this design
The same sculpted tulip crown, built this time around a marquise—leaf-tipped claws curving up to close around the stone like a flower head, with V-prongs taking both points. Underneath, the band is engraved in relief right the way round and edged with milgrain beading. A marquise set this way looks considerably longer than it measures, because the leaf tips carry the eye out past both ends of the stone.

Yes — the two claws at the ends are V-shaped and fold over the tips, which is the correct way to set a marquise. The remaining leaf-tipped claws hold the body of the stone.
Only in the stone. It is the same sculpted crown and the same engraved band, built around a marquise instead of an oval — longer and more pointed on the finger, and a slightly bolder look.
No. Warm water and a soft brush whenever you wash it. The relief is cut into solid metal, so unlike a plated finish there is nothing that can wear off it.
Very long. The leaf-tipped claws at each end reach out past the points of the stone, so the eye carries on beyond where the diamond actually stops — the setting adds visible length that the stone is not paying for.
Yellow gold shows the relief most clearly, and is what an original Edwardian piece would have been. Rose gold gives a softer, more romantic version. White gold and platinum turn it crisper and more formal — the pattern reads as texture rather than as ornament.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
