The piece
About this design
Of everything we make, this is the most openly romantic: a heart cut above a band of repeating four-petal flowers. It works because neither element is overdone. The heart is held by a V-prong at the point and slim claws on the lobes, with the cleft left completely open so the outline stays readable, and the flowers are cut in low relief on a slim band between two lines of milgrain. The result reads as an antique piece rather than a novelty one. Inside, the band is smooth, polished and stamped with the Driona D.

Symmetry. The two lobes should match, the cleft should be sharp and clearly cut, and the outline should mirror itself down the centre line. A lopsided heart is visible from across a room and no setting will fix it.
It is a fair question, and the answer is in the restraint. The flowers are cut low into a slim band and the heart is set clean, with no halo and no side stones. Two soft ideas, executed quietly, rather than one loud one.
It reads better larger. At the small end of the dropdown a heart starts to look like a rounded stone from a distance, so if the shape is the reason you are buying it, take a step up the size list — lab grown makes that step affordable.
It is the most openly romantic ring we make and it does not pretend otherwise. If that is what you want, nothing else here comes close; if you would rather the heart were played down, the plainer bands are the ones to look at.
The V-prong stops it. It caps the tip so knitwear meets smooth metal rather than a bare diamond corner.

The centre stone is graded by someone other than us
A lab grown diamond over 1.00 carat goes to IGI — an independent gemological laboratory — and is graded there, and its report ships with the piece. Below that weight the accent stones are not individually certified; nobody in the trade certifies melee. We would rather tell you that here than let you open the box expecting paperwork that was never coming.

Check the report against IGI's own database
If your piece came with a report, type its number into IGI's site. It will show you the same stone, graded on the same date. If it does not match what arrived, you did not get what you paid for — and you have thirty days to send it back.

Grown, not mined — and we say so everywhere
A lab grown diamond is a diamond: same carbon lattice, same hardness, same fire, and it passes a diamond tester exactly like a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed. You will never find that fact buried in the small print here.
